应我校williamhill威廉希尔王宇副教授邀请，俄罗斯约飞研究所和圣光机大学Aleksandr Shamrai 教授作薄膜铌酸锂超宽带调制器方面的学术讲座，欢迎感兴趣的老师和同学参加。讲座内容和时间地点安排如下:

题  目：Complex choice of optical waveguide configuration for ultra-wide-band modulators based on thin-film lithium niobate

摘  要：The report discusses and compares two approaches to the formation of optical waveguides on thin-film lithium niobate substrates: etching a ridge in a lithium niobate film and the formation of a silicon nitride ridge on the surface of a lithium niobate film. The influence of the waveguide structure configuration on the mode composition of optical radiation propagating through it, polarization-dependent losses, critical turning radii, and interaction with closely spaced metal electrodes is analyzed. Several criteria for choosing the optimal configuration of optical waveguides for ultra-broadband modulators are considered, such as the minimum half-wave voltage, minimum optical losses, and maximum optical signal transmission coefficient over a fiber-optic line.

主讲人简介：:Aleksandr Shamrai 教授现任俄罗斯圣光机大学教授、约飞研究所首席研究员、量子电子学实验室主任。2002年获约飞研究所固体物理学博士学位，2010年获无线电物理科学博士学位。长期从事光折变品体全息存储与可调器件、 铌酸锂集成光子器件以及高精度测量、微波与量子光子学领域先进应用技术,研究成果获俄罗斯科学院青年科学家奖和教育科学部科技发展突出贡献奖等。出版著作2部，获发明专利7项，发表期刊文50余篇，会议报告论文100余篇。
